DR Lydia Gonzalez-Dross, Recipient Nelson Mandela Peace Award



Dr. Lydia Gonzalez-Dross, creator of the Global Women Christian Chamber of Commerce Embassy, receives the Nelson Mandela International Peace Award at the annual summit is held at Colombo HARTI Hall, on December 7th, 2019, by the Council of Justices of Peace of Sri Lanka. Council of Justice of the Peace of Sri Lanka formed in Sri Lanka to serve justice.,

“We tend to implement non-profit programs around Island and to establish and maintain peace amongst people. In essence, our Council holds the Nelson Mandela International Peace Summit 2019 on 07-12-2019 Saturday at 3:30 pm at Hector Kobbekaduwa Agrarian Research and Training Institute, #114 Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 07 to Nelson Mandela International Peace awards Justice of the Peace who involve in reconciliation in Sri Lanka.

South Africa High Commissioner, His Excellence, RP Marks and Prof.Krishan Deharagoda, Dr. Fahath A Majeed, Dr. Maheshwaran who are participated for event as a special guest Chaplain Dr. Lydia Gonzalez-DRoss, President of Global Hispanic Women Christian Chamber of Commerce Embassy, a Diplomat and Governance Hispanic Women in Leadership program that is presented all around the world.

USWCCCE represented the USA Women, and was nominated for the prestigious award by Global Peace Ambassador Dr.Alwin Roland Timothy for her great role in this present time for promoting peace and empowering multi-faith women worldwide and bringing economic restoration with diplomacy and governance training for women who desire to move their nation forward.

The award was presented by Global Peace Ambassador Dr Alwin Roland Timothy and is the Chairperson of the Global Churches Alliance, Founder & President of World Jesus Mission & Human Protection Peace Council(India) , Asia Representative for Global Women Christian Chamber of Commerce Embassy (GWCCCW) located in the city of Chennai, in India. His vision and mission is to be a source of blessing as a voice for the poor and needy in India and worldwide under the motto of “Preaching the Healing Word to an Ailing World”.

In 2018, in Washington D.C, Dr. Lydia Gonzalez-Dross, has met with Nelson Mandela Grandson, Siyabulela Mandela . They were both featured speakers at the Ronald Reagan Building, speaking at the USA Global Conference ATTIGS /Alpha Africa HUB Innovation –Technology, with over thousand in attendance, and with delegates representing their countries from the world. “We talked about reaching out to the young people and bringing forth diplomacy and governance training, as part of USWCCCE Young Ambassadors Embassy Initiatives. I was so thrilled that we stayed in touch and now humbled and honored to have received such a beautiful award in remembrance of his grandfather's work. “ said Gonzalez- Dross.

For several years, Dr. Lydia Gonzalez-Dross served as White House Correspondent for El Nacional, OK and recently moved to Arizona to serve as the AZ State Capitol Director, National Congressional Prayer Caucus Network, confirmed by Prayer Caucus Chairman, House Representative Mark Finchem and Senator Cathy Barato. A bipartisan position that requires to be a liaison to the multi-faith community, as well as serving the State House and Senate legislative members.

Dr Gonzalez - Dross is humbled to be the only Evangelical Latina in the US History to receive such prestigious award.
